Meet Your Hosts
Lauren Coutts
Founder of LOOOM
Based in London, UK, Lauren works in the creative industry but finds her true purpose in building the communities that often feel out of reach in adulthood. Originally from Canada, she has always used the outdoors as a natural reset; bringing that same appreciation for adventure to her retreats. She recognises that while many women have the desire to travel, finding a group at the same life stage can be a challenge. Combining a love of hosting with a knack for logistics, she creates seamless, well-planned journeys where every detail is handled and the only thing left to do is connect with the others around you.
Andrea Barber
Founder of Fun Moves
Andrea is a strength coach and outdoor enthusiast based in Vancouver, B.C. Through her platform Fun Moves, she helps people build strength and confidence so they can move well both in the gym and outside of it. Most of her favourite days are spent running trails, hiking in the mountains, and sharing those experiences with friends. She believes movement is one of the best ways to build confidence and connection, both with your body and with the places you explore. Hosting this retreat brings together two of her favourite things: time in the mountains and creating space for people to experience something memorable through moving together.
A Typical Day on the Retreat
Each day will follow a relaxed rhythm designed to balance time in the mountains with ample time to rest, recharge and connect.
Slow mornings with coffee or tea, followed by a nourishing breakfast together. We’ll begin the day with a short mobility and hike-prep session to wake up the body before heading into the mountains.
Morning
We’ll head out for the day’s alpine hike, with routes varying throughout the week and uniquely tailored to the group. Many days will include a scenic lunch stop, sometimes at a mountain hut or a beautiful spot along the trail.
Mid Day
After returning to the chalet, we’ll enjoy a relaxed transition from the trail with refreshments and downtime to shower, read or venture in to explore Chamonix. This includes an optional tea and talk session using reflective queue cards for those who want to foster intentional group connection.
Afternoon
We’ll gather again for a shared dinner, followed by a gentle evening stretch and wind-down session to make sure we’re all prepared ahead of the next day’s adventures.

Accomodation
Set on the sunny slopes of Chamonix, this south-facing chalet sits at the edge of forest and trail, with wide-open views across the valley. Mont Blanc and the Bossons Glacier dominate the skyline, raw, immediate, and always changing with the light.
This is a place designed for shared experience. We’ll head into the mountains together, straight from the door onto the trail network, and the Brévent cable car is just 700 meters away for quick access to higher ground. Even so, the center of Chamonix is a short walk down the hill. If you need an espresso, a wander through town, or a little solo time, it’s right there.
The chalet gives us space to gather, to go over plans, refuel, stretch and recover, but it also allows room to step back when you want quiet. Forest behind, town below, mountains in front.
PLEASE NOTE:
This home is a 20min uphill walk from the bus stop drop off, or a 5min taxi if ‘packing light’ isn’t in your vocab.

Hear Reviews of LOOOM from Previous Guests
Each LOOOM trip is unique, so the itinerary and locations on review below may differ.
LOOOM took me to Lofoten and it genuinely changed me.
It’s the kind of trip I would have saved and dreamed about, but realistically never pulled off. The logistics are complicated. It’s remote. And doing it alone would have felt overwhelming.
As someone who produces experiences for a living, I don’t say this lightly. Lauren created something I could not have replicated myself. Not even close. The taste level, the intentionality, the balance of structure and freedom was so dialed. It felt elevated but never performative. Beautiful but not contrived. Culturally immersive without feeling packaged.
We hiked. We cold plunged. We sauna’d. We drank great local beer. We ate unforgettable food. We laughed nonstop. We connected deeply, but still had space to move at our own pace and choose our own adventures.
It was the most extraordinary travel experience of my life.
REBECCA - LOFOTEN 2025
There are some moments in life you go all in on something without thinking too much and in then turn, you’re rewarded beyond your wildest imagination.
Joining a wonderful group of women on a trip to the Lofoten Islands with LOOOM was certainly this for me. From running squealing into the sea mere hours after stepping off the plane and supporting each other with positive affirmations and sweet treats to reach the much anticipated summits of our hikes, to a group of strangers opening up to each other so genuinely over beautiful meals and watching the northern lights dance overhead as a magical show on our last night - it really was something special.
We joked that luck (or an Etsy witch) was on our side each time something brilliant and unexpected happened, but really I think it was all of Lauren’s hard work and careful planning that made everything truly amazing, and I’m seriously grateful for her talents and passion for bringing people together in such incredible places. It really was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had.
KIRSTY - LOFOTEN 2025
I went on an incredible trip to Lofoten with LOOOM and would recommend Lauren’s trips in a heartbeat.
Lofoten is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, but what made the experience truly special was the people and how thoughtfully everything was planned. Every detail was considered her, from trying local food and cooking together, to fireside chats, sauna and Arctic cold plunges. Each day we had options for hiking and sightseeing but the schedule was never rigid and we could decide what we felt like doing.
The biggest bonus was meeting the most wonderful group of women, we had many deep chats and laughs we shared are was a huge highlight for me. There was such a sense of ease and connection, it felt like the perfect mix of adventure, reflection, and girlhood.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, stress-free way to explore somewhere new, meet inspiring people, and experience a destination in an authentic and intentional way, LOOOM is so worth it and couldn’t recommend more highly!

Participants should feel comfortable hiking 10–20 km in mountainous terrain. The pace will be moderate and conversational, with plenty of breaks to enjoy the scenery. This retreat is designed to feel approachable while still offering a rewarding challenge, so participants should feel confident in their ability to spend several hours hiking in alpine environments over multiple days.
While we will always do our best to support the group and create a welcoming experience, the terrain and nature of mountain hiking mean this retreat cannot be considered fully accessible.
Good to know: Chamonix sits at higher elevation (~1,000m / 3,300 ft in town, with hikes reaching higher), which can make physical effort feel more challenging than at sea level.

Participants will be led by Andrea and Lauren, who will organize and lead the group hikes throughout the retreat. Andrea holds Remote First Aid certification and both hosts have extensive experience hiking in alpine environments. The hikes will take place on established mountain trails around the Chamonix valley.
Please note that this retreat is not a professionally guided mountaineering trip, and participants are responsible for ensuring they are comfortable hiking in alpine terrain.
We created this retreat for people who love being active in the mountains and want to experience the magic of Chamonix in a supportive, small-group environment.
We handle the details so you can step away from the noise of everyday life and fully immerse yourself in the experience. Time in the mountains, shared meals, and genuine connection with a small group of curious, adventurous women.
Our goal is to create an environment where you can build confidence in the mountains, meet like-minded people, and return home feeling energized and inspired.
We can’t wait to spend the summer solstice in the Alps with you.
